The Ginter roadside sweet corn stand south of here closed at midweek. He's sticking with a mere 125 million ears of ordinary sweet corn. Another possibility is that the disease spread from sweet corn grown nearby. Other farmers have diversified into selling hay, sweet corn, fruits and vegetables.
